Spring 2016 Jewelry Trends from Spring New York Fashion Week!

Fashion Week wrapped up in New York this Thursday, and although the fashion extravaganza will trek on to London, Milan and Paris in the coming weeks, it's already clear that three jewelry trends were everywhere on the runways. Models donned frocks and accessories from the biggest fashion designers to showcase the Spring 2016 collections. Here's what we predict will be be hot in the coming months.

With a return to fringe-accented dresses, shoes and bags all over the runway, tassels appear to be swinging back into the jewelry scene. From tassel-like ear adornments to tribal necklace designs featuring tassels, there's no denying this trend. And this isn't your traditional fringe -- chic designs and unique materials update the look for Spring 2016.

Links and Chains

Links and chains were bigger than ever on the runway, especially when it came to jewelry. Bags and even tops boasted ornaments with chain link features. Link jewelry ranged from oversized long necklaces to drop earrings and the ever-growing Y-knot necklace trend. This trend adds an utilitarian chic touch to otherwise feminine looks.

Bold Elongated Earrings

There's a style that reigns even within the tassel and chain trend -- bold, elongated earrings. From big gemstone looks to shoulder-sweeping metals, the focal point is clearly the earrings. And the bigger and bolder the better! Naeem Khan stole fashion week with their colorful assortment of large earrings. The best part? Fashion designers proved these elongated earrings work with just about every neckline and hairstyle, making it easy to integrate this jewelry style into your look on a daily basis.
